The Oak Ridge Road Race was held 8/22/2009.  The lollipop course went out three miles before the 20mi loop.  The Pro/1/2 Race was 88 miles or 4 laps.   There were two substantial hills and otherwise the terrain was rolling. The road race saw both Paul and Allen DNF due to poor road markings and officials that led them off course for instant DQ.  Despite the lack of support, Mike was able to secure fifth in the race. 
The evening of 8/22/2009 was the time trial.  It was a flat, out and back course.  The TT started over an hour late and we were worried that we didn't bring blinkies or aero helmet lights for the race.  Again despite the conditions, Warp-9 posted the 3rd (Mike Lanham), 4th (Allen Binkley) and 5ht (Paul Tower) fastest times.
The 50 min crit was a typical 4 corner city crit and not too technical.  Since Mike had good results in both the RR and TT, it was a team effort to improve his rank overall in the GC.  All the men took turns covering attacks and sitting on the front.  Unfortunately a break got away and stuck with two from Krystal.  Last lap Paul gave Mike a 600m lead out and cornered at a surprising 35+mph.  Overall an impressive team effort from the three men.
